The Hornets traveled to Sprayberry H.S. on Saturday afternoon for their 3rd non-region game in as many days and left with another big win 11 – 1.
Chris Wright got the start and the win for the Hornets pitching 4 innings and allowing (1) run on (4) hits and (2) errors, Anthony Petitti (1 inning) and Tyler Greene (2 innings) did an outstanding job closing out the game for The Hornets, pitching a combined (3) scoreless innings.
The Hornets hitting totals were as follows: Vinny Cottone (1) single, (2) doubles & (1) RBI. Chad Woodhead: (4) singles & (1) RBI. Zane Evans (1) single, (1) double, sac-fly & (4) RBI’s. Tyler Greene: (1) single, (1) double & (2) RBI’s. Taylor Muldowny: (2) singles, (1) double & (2) RBI’s. Ryan McDonald: (2) singles, (1) RBI. Nick Vinson (2) singles. Andrew Chester: sac-bunt, (2) base-on-balls.
